Confident Branding: 5 Things You Can Stop Giving A F*ck About

Confident branding means showing up online, giving your people what they want, and not letting anyone/thing stop you. Confident branding means knowing it’ll work, even when they say it won’t. Confident branding means have relentless faith in the value of what you’re offering.

REMINDER: Confident branding starts when you stop caring about what everyone else is doing. Here are 5 things you can stop focusing on so you can start showing up for the people who need you., your brand, your, blog, your biz, your VOICE!

As soon as you start treating your branding as a natural extension of yourself, you’ll realize how easily content will begin flowing from you. Stop over-thinking your branding to death and witness the limitless potential you have as a confident branding manager. You are your brand! It’s that simple. Show up authentically, as the real you, every single day. That is the best way to live the life of your dreams and work for the people who need YOUR unique service. You can also read this post, where I share the 4 words you need to forget if you want confident branding.

Confident branding is the art of doing whatever the f*ck you want.

Peer pressure: Stop letting people convince you to do things you don’t want to do. It’s going against your natural instinct and turning you into a different type of person than the universe is intending. You know what’s best for you. You have the answers. Trust your intuition and make up your own mind about what you want to be doing. That being said, don’t let fear keep you from doing things. Take the time to learn the difference between the voice of your fear and the voice of your intuition. One tries to scare you from trying new things, one tries to warn you from doing things that go against your flow.

FOMO: I promise, no one’s life is as cool as it looks online. You fear missing out on something that doesn’t even exist. It’s a losing battle. You’re scrolling through your phone and wishing your life was as glamorous, successful, beautiful or easy as the one’s people are pretending to have. That is why you’re missing out. You’re wasting time living vicariously through other people’s photoshopped perfection when you could be out experiencing the truly beautiful world around you. The one that doesn’t need a filter to look perfect.

Other people’s opinions: Everyone’s got one. And they have nothing to do with you! The things other people say about you have so much more to do with them than they have to do with you. It’s a reflection of their character, the way they see the world. Remember that, and take other people’s opinions with a big grain of salt. The more secure you are with yourself the easier it is to filter out the nonsense. It’s important to listen to others who have been there and consider their advice. It’s worth trusting those who have your best interests in mind and heeding the word of the wiser. But the only way to truly know what’s right for you is to find out for yourself.

The rules: The rules are all made up. There is no one way to do everything. Create your own rules for how you want to live your life. Make it up as you go. Learn from your mistakes and remember your victories. No one knows what they’re doing. The answers aren’t out there…they’re in here. In your gut. Tap into your intuition and you’ll discover you are your own guide. It is your responsibility to create your own definition for success. What it looks like and feels like. Once you figure that out, go get it! Nothing is stopping you.

Numbers: The ones on the scale, the ones on your birthday, the ones in your bank account. They mean nothing! Stop letting them matter. They’re a frivolous construct to categorize demographics. You are so much more complex than the numbers you associate yourself with. You are not your weight, you are not your age and you are certainly not your checking account balance. Focus on curating the things that make you who you are. Your likes and dislikes. Your worldview. The foods you enjoy, the places you’ve seen, the music that makes the hair on your neck stand up. Those are the things that make you who you are.
