How To Stop Chasing Clients (And Attract More) In 3 Easy Steps

Getting your first client to sign up is a rush. You work so hard building up your business and creating content and connecting with people. And that first person to sign up for your service feels like the biggest victory! It almost validates all the hard work that you’ve put into building this thing. But, you have to stop thinking like that. Practicing non attachment needs to be your first priority if you want to stop chasing clients.

Stop chasing clients (and attract more) in 3 easy steps! Practice non-attachment in your business. Bloggers + entrepreneurs, pin for later.

You only lose what you cling to.

That kind of mindset puts waaaay too much pressure on your clients. And they can totally feel that. Even if you haven’t had a single client sign up for your service, you can’t let it seem that way. When you first start showing up in front of your ideal clients, a lot of people are going to start showing an interest in your work. However, they aren’t all going to take the next step of paying you for it. And that’s okay! Your job is to show up and offer value, not to convince people to hire you. Your content does that job.

Maybe your first discovery call will turn into your first paying client. That’s great! But it doesn’t always work out that way. It’s important to offer free discovery calls, especially at the beginning, so people can get an idea of what it’s like to work with you. Later on, they’re really helpful when you’re becoming more selective about who you want to work for.

The trick to stop chasing clients is…don’t get attached to every single person who shows an interest in your work.

This is easier said than done. You’re going to find yourself, at least once, becoming attached to a potential client. That’s natural, because you know you have something they need and you want to help them. BUT…you can’t help people if they aren’t ready to help themselves. Like I said, just show up and offer value. That’s all you can do. They have to be the one to take the action and sign up. And you have to remember that you have nothing to do with that decision. That’s all on them.

The best thing to do when you’ve become attached to a potential client is to release them.

  1. Pull up their FB page or write down their name and stare at it. It helps to have a visual.
  2. Speak to them. Say, “I am so happy you took the step to learn more about what I offer. I know I can help you. So, when you’re ready, I’ll be here. Until then, I am sending you all my love and I release you.”
  3. Let. Them. Go.

It’s the same when it comes to manifesting what you want. Get clear about what you want, put that energy out into the universe, do the work to receive it, and move on. Part of becoming an energetic match with the universe is trusting the universe to do its part. Stop the chasing. Stop chasing clients, money, fame, etc. It’ll all happen.
